What is Auditory-Verbal Therapy/Listening and Spoken Language Therapy?
Auditory-Verbal Therapy is a parent-coaching based therapy structure for children who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH). Therapy centers around the family’s chosen communication outcome for their child: Spoken Language, Total Communication, Sign Language. Auditory-Verbal Therapy teaches your child to use their residual listening skills in order to communicate as well as teaches them to learn to use their new listening devices (cochlear implants, hearing aids, Bone Anchored Hearing Aid).
