Therapy is family-centred and tailored to you and your child’s needs and specific areas of improvement.
Sessions are 30 minutes in length and each Plan of Care (length of intervention, goals, etc.) is specific to their difficulties.

Auditory-verbal therapy or Listening and Spoken Language Therapy is an intervention for children with hearing loss whose families have chosen a spoken language communication outcome. Therapy focuses on teaching your child to listen and interpret sounds appropriately so that their brain is able to restructure itself and learn to communicate through spoken language. Additionally, families will learn strategies to use at home in order to help develop language in a natural way.
AVT can also refine listening skills for families that want their child to improve their ability to listen and respond to sounds for safety purposes. These families may have chosen a Total Communication or Sign Language outcome.

This is a personal preference that has multiple factors to consider. Talk about your thoughts with your AVT/LSLS provider at your evaluation in order to make your decision. Our Love to Listen therapists will guide you in this decision with information specific to your child and their history, hearing loss, and amplification.

Currently, we are only accepting insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Outside of that, we considered an out-of-network (OON) provider with insurance companies, however, we will provide you with a superbill on a monthly basis.
Love to Listen Therapy is in the process of accreditation with United and Texas Medicaid.

Therapy sessions need to be canceled within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time to avoid a late-cancellation fee (full session rate).
Love to Listen Therapy will waive your late-cancellation fee if you reschedule your appointment within the same week as applicable. If appointments are unavailable, you will be charged the full session rate.

You will receive intake paperwork to complete once you’ve scheduled your initial evaluation.
